Molly
Molly is the official barn Sheltie.
She
greets everyone with a bark and then a few sniffs. She is incredibly
friendly, especially to people who give her treats.
Molly's Bio
Molly was a rescue puppy. She was
brought into a local vet clinic at just 6 weeks old by a pet store. She
was not breathing and not eating. The pet store couldn't pay for the
surgery so they signed off on her. The clinic did some x-rays and found
she had a herniated diaphragm. (Her stomach and her intestines were all up
in her chest cavity.) They decided to do the surgery just to see if they
could save the small, underweight puppy. Like the survivor she is, Molly came
though the surgery and, within days, was gaining fans.
After one visit to the clinic to see her,
Trish adopted her. Following a few weeks of running
and biting everything, Molly settled in to her role as Trish's daily companion
to barns for lessons.
When F.D.C. opened in 2001, Molly moved
comfortably into her role as barn dog
and horse show dog. She also makes
sure that everyone keeps to the predetermined schedule.
